About Us
Officially founded in 2008 (though we've been in the game since 2002), The GMAT Coach offers products that helps students prepare for their Graduate Management Admissions Test in less than half the time of most every other prep company. We offer simple, effective products that are easy to understand and that allow students the freedom to study when and where they want to. We also provide students with access to us (phone, email, text, skype, twitter, facebook, and online meetings) for any and all questions during their prep. Usually, we answer the phones 24/7 (we don't sleep very much), but if a student calls during a company yoga session or something, we promptly call back when we finish up.
We started this company because we were tired of seeing students being charged more and more, but getting less and less. There's one company out there (we don't want to name any names) now advertising (proudly no less) that they offer "over 180 hours of video and instruction, 9 classroom sessions, over 6,000 practice questions, and 9 practice tests." What? Who has time for all that?
So, we started thinking (that's usually trouble) and came up with the idea to offer a product that provided students more results in less time. So, using the Principle of Factor Sparsity , we developed our course, focusing on what gives students the most (intellectual) bang for the buck. Students have reported back that this approach is pretty sweet and saves them a bunch of time, and have been giving us rave reviews.
In a nutshell, we are trying to build a company that we'd like to do business with ourselves. We aim to help you find success on your GMAT test by providing simple, effective preparation products, friendly follow-up support, and outstanding customer service.

Meet the GMAT Coach Faculty
Lee Burrell CEO and Co-Founder
Lee was determined to succeed on his GMAT. Searching long and hard led him to Dhiraj. Three weeks of studying resulted in a 140 point score increase, a 99th percentile ranking, scholarship offers to multiple business schools, and an innate feeling that the pinnacle of GMAT preparation had been found. His background is in Leadership, Accounting, and Management, and he is presently completing a second Masters Degree, this time at Georgia Tech. He enjoys playing his Blueridge guitar, officiating sports at all levels, and is currently the youngest NCAA football official in the U.S.
Dhiraj Goverdhanam GMAT/GRE/SAT/ACT/LSAT Teacher Extraordinaire
Dhiraj might possibly be the best standardized test teacher in the world. Seriously. He started teaching people how to improve their GMAT scores for extra spending money when he was in high school and he hasn't scored below the 99th percentile in any standardized test he has ever taken. This guy is unreal. He has a Masters Degree in civil engineering (super nerdy stuff), yet possess the uncanny ability to take complex and confusing material and break it down so just about anyone can understand it. He has two M.D.s and two Ph.Ds in his immediate family.
Christian E. Mims-Wolfe Master of the English Language
Christian, for some reason or another, absolutely loves anything having to do with the English language. Her favorite things to do in life are teaching it, reading it, writing it, studying it, and debating it. She's an experienced teacher who has an English Literature degree and is currently pursuing a Masters of English. She received the 2010 Outstanding Literature Graduate Award from North Georgia College & State University. She's also a pretty awesome mom to her two sons.
Adrienne West Verbal Don
Adrienne is one of those people who simply have a talent for effortlessly making the English language accessible to just about anyone. Although this Southern Belle had ample opportunities to teach professionally in the university setting after acing her entrance exams and completing two Masters degrees, in both English and Education, she decided she wanted to forgo that route in order to do her part to change the face of high school English education. Luckily for us, she is still driven (and has time) to help people succeed on the GMAT. When she's not busy teaching in some capacity, she's playing with her two rottweilers, Norman and Nessa.
Keys to Success
Everything sounds great so far (at least that's what we hope you are thinking), but you are probably wondering: how can such as small team create an awesome product, test it to make sure it works, market it so people know about it, sell it to stay in business, and provide the 24/7 support?
Well, that remains to be seen. Here's how we are attempting to do it:
FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS
We maintain a ninja-like focus on constantly improving our methods and products. We are constantly researching, refining, and staying on top of all things GMAT. We take the tests, listen to student suggestions, and study the newest learning techniques. We don't try to get too fancy, because in all honesty, the GMAT isn't rocket science (though right about now you probably think it is).

We are able to offer our products at awesome prices because we keep our overhead low and expenses down. No company cars, weekend retreats, or outlandish spending. We have assistants on the other side of the world that help us with a multitude of tasks and free us to focus on what's most important, our students.

Student have different goals; not everyone wants or cares to get into Harvard for their MBA. But we feel everyone can improve their GMAT score and not have to spend countless hours or a ton of money doing so.
